Had anyone tried to rework this cartridge to use .308 dia bullets? I want to build a carbine based on this cartridge.
Thanks

I use cast bullets designed for this round in .30 carbine. (They are sized a bit larger than jacketed, but they would be for use in the 7.62x25 also.) As far as I know, they are the same size. How heavy a bullet the throat and mag length would limit you to is another issue. I'm thinking 110gr is probably about the max.

I load the Speer half jacket "plinkers" for my CZ. They work fine.
I was cleaning up some range brass and found some of these, I think about 50 pcs. Are they just shy of 1" about .980 or so, with a small shoulder similar to 357 SIG? If so they are free for grabs, if you pay shipping. Joe
I shoot the Hornady .30 Cal. XTPHP .308 #31000 in my broom handles. They work great over 4 Grs. of Win 231.
