those who died in service of their country. Remember them today before the BBQ. Unfortunately the country has forgotten that Memorial Day is to recognize these heroes. I am old enough to remember when every hamlet had a parade to the cementary. Of course WW 2 and Korea were recent conflicts.
Memorial Day started in 1865 when the black people of Charleston, SC led the commeration for the Union soldiers buried in their city; proud of those who died to finish slavery off.
