    can someone please tel me a good coolant to use with my lead shot maker

    I use sierra antifreeze. It is what is recommended by the maker of the LITTLETON SHOT MAKER.

    Ask for the lab. I had them work up a coolant for me many years ago that was very inexpensive. The fluid is pink and is water soluble. It came in 5 gallon buckets. The coolant allowed the molten drops to cool slowly to produce spherical shot - not teardrop shapes. I cannot for the life of me remember the fello's name that works in the lab but he has been there for a long time.

    automatic transmission fluid,
    go to cast boolits look in the members list and there they are.
