I just spent 30min cleaning out spam from a Vietnamese scumbag posting porn via Visitor Messages. If I missed any please let me know in a PM so I can clean up the mess. (Moderators can only see the "newest member" like you can, so when more than one joins us as a team at the same time sometimes one or some sneak through. When they do that we are unaware of them and can't delete and ban them until they post something.) I try to check forum activity twice a day for new members to make sure their IP addresses are clean, and VM's do show up on profile pages and can be dealt with. However, we have no way to monitor any Private Message activity, nor any desire to do so, but if anyone is getting any inappropriate messages, either PM's or VM's, we do need to hear about it ASAP so we can ban those responsible. I just want to make sure we get as many of them as we can. I'm not into pesticides, but these ones you can't step on or swat. You just have to pick them by hand. Grooming is a primate trait I guess.

As a certain someone used to say "We used to be able to send the buggers a little present in return. Can't do that anymore." Really too bad in a way. It would be nice to swat them instead of just picking them out.
