Snipe hunt
Just got back from a snipe hunt with Steve J and Mike A. A week ago there were a bunch of them at the tanks. Today there were 2 and they were kicked up just as we entered the grass. Still a great day with decent temps, no wind and blue skies even with no birds in the bag.
Mike, are they as hard to shoot as I've heard?
They are worse than woodcock. When taking flight they may go up and zig zag. The first two took off just above the water and did their dancing. They seem to be as fast as woodcock. So, to answer your question, YES
The only one I've seen get a snipe in TX is ME!
You guys need to spend more time on the trap range.
