Thread: Not really so new!

    Default Not really so new!

Ya know, some things new are not so new at all. The new Stevens bolt action gray plastic stocked plain Jane is really the old 110 Sav without sights. Bought one in 308 as a knock around rifle. Out of the box it will stay under 2" at 100 with three different cast loads. Put a 4x14 Simmons in Weaver mounts, and while it will never take any beauty contests it will be an excellent hunter. Going to have to try some condoms in it one of these days.

Does it look like that one: http://www.gunblast.com/Marlin-XL7.htm ?

And I'm a bit fuzzy this morning, which one of Marlin and Savage bought the other...?
