    Default 700x score... Maybe...

I stopped in to a new gun store on my way home yesterday to inquire about shot and shotgun powder. They had the shot and no powder but was expecting a shipment of IMR powders Thursday (today). She took my name and number and called me today to let me know they got the shipment which included two 8 lb jugs of 700x! She put my name on one and is holding it for me. I won't officially say score until it's in my hands... I should be able to get there tomorrow night after work.

Glad for you BB. I don't know much about 700 X though.

I don't load shotshells, but I have half a can of 700X left that I got in a trade. I've been using it up on .45ACP's when I remember to. No complaints from any of the pistols or carbine we've been using it in, even on the 100yd gong. I would consider buying more of it for that if I didn't have 1.5 gallon jugs of 820surp, which I figure will last me at least another fifteen years or so.

Good score. Not a damn thing above pounders when I stopped at the gunshop when I usually get my 8lb kegs. I think they had 2 8's of something I didn't even recognize.

They got a bunch of 8's in other IMR's. It I doubt it will last long. I'd get another 700x if they'd sell it to me but they won't. I even offered to trade them the 8lb jug of Promo that I have but they wouldn't do that. A buddy of mine picked up a 4lb jug for me though from the same place so I'm sitting on 12. That will load about 5000 rounds so I may be in good shape for two years.

Actually three years because I'm pretty much set for this year! I'll shoot up the Promo in my gun and save the 700 x for my boy.

I have the feeling this is going to suck for awhile. Went from no primers and tons of powder to the opposite.

As of last weekend, up this way we can get CCI & Win primers (they will only sell 1000 at a time) and a fairly good selection of IMR and Alliant powders, but the shelves definitely aren't well stocked. H powders were limited to H332, H335, & Varget, and there were a few odd Win & AA powders, but that was it. Much better than this spring when there were only a few pounds of IMR.
