Your favorate 38wc load.

I'm getting a mold so i will be loading a lot more wc's .
I"ve have used only unique and power pistol got some tight
group for the 45's.

The pp load was'nt in my hornady book so i used the loading
for the 158g bullet for the speed i wanted around 700fps
for a small game woods bumming load. I ended up with.

Hornady dewc oal 1.180"
power pistol 4.3grains
CCI 500 small pistol primmer
Rem {mostly} brass

AV. 766fps LO 744fps HI 785fps ES. 41.05fps SD. 13.85fps

ten shot string out of 4" barrel good load, but with tight group
it would take around half as much powder.

I am using a very odd boolit. The WC mold that I was using is a Lyman. It weighs 158gn. The nose sticks out of the case about 1/4 of a inch. The load I am using is,
PRIMER: CCI #500
POWDER: 6.0GN OFIMR-sr4756
BOOLIT:LYMAN 158GN WC @.360"
CASE:MIS 38SPL
LUBE:BULL SHOP SPEED GREEN.
I am giving you a warning that you should use this load with caution.

Sounds like a good load.

I shot a lot of PPC with 2.7 grs of bullseye. 5.0-5.4 gr of Unique works real good in a 38 special with a 150-158 gr bullet. Gianni.
