I just picked up a Savage Striker that when I try to use brass fired in my Encore 22-250 it will not fit, even tried resizing it and the brass still is to tight.
Not uncommon for two chambers to be different just odd that my Lyman press is set up to cam over on my die and they still dont fit. Oh well just got some new brass and started loading from scratch

I also bought a LEE collet neck die to try, the price was way to apealing not to at least try it.

    Default shellholder adjustment

Got a call from my buddy who was having the 22-250 problem. He stated that he had a machinist friend surface grind off .oo6 from the shellholder top to allow the die to size more of the case, ie, bump the shoulder back a lil more and wallah, the resized cases chamber just fine now. I still think the headspace was a lil tight to begin with, but in this case, a lil off the shellholder accomplished the same thing and, shouldn't be enough to affect other cases for other guns. Just buy another shellholder and mark this one accordingly, I suppose. For now, at least, everything is in order.

    Smile Remington 700 CDL

I'll be interested in what you guys think of that new model Remington. My Brother has their 721 Model in .270, but that's the only Remington in our family. It's plain Jane in every way, but shoots like a house afire.
    Regards,

    Default 700 Cdl

Well, my buddy hasn't got back to me on his 700CDL purchase in that 243 Caliber. He wanted something in the 243, but with a 24" bbl. I suggested the VLS, but is a bit on the heavy side, he said, and the Model 7 was a bit short with the 20" bbl. He called me as to what he was up to, but not heard from him for a while.(hey, he's still workin', and I'm retired) He did say something about getting a scope mounted first.....will keep ya posted as events unfold......Bob
