Default Stevens slipped a 1/2 thread

I have a 25-06 Stevens 200 that always chambered hard since new. Not hammer hard but seemed to be harder than I expected. After shooting it about 20 times it would not chamber the shell. I took it down and then returned the barrel to the receiver. Using the no go and go gauges it was 1/2 thread off. I now have it back together but have one question; I have the headspace set so that the no go gauge will not chamber just as I start the bolt down. Should I set the barrel forward so that the bolt goes down about 1/2 of the way or is it OK as it is.

Found the answer that I was looking for. It is set up correctly at this time. Unfortunately I sat for a crown and was told not to go shooting until the permanent one is in. What a bugger.
