Great gun, except for recoil. It is my first straight blow-back and it "kicks" worse than any of my 1911s.
I have both pistols and don't find the 82 to be that way.
But there is a big difference in the amount/weight of steel from of the trigger to muzzel...the 1911 has more with a longer barrel....82 has less, and shorter barrel. So, I guess that's why you perceive them that way.
