    to your opinion can 338 federal be form from 308 brass the same way 35 whelen is form from 30-06 thank you....

    Hi there, welcome aboard.

    Ken Waters wrote a "Pet Loads" article in Handloader no177, October 1995, on the 338-08 .
    I don't know how close the Federal round is but Waters says the only trick is, if you are using once fired 308 cases, to restore them first to 308 dimensions (resizing) before runing them through the 338-08 dies.

    G'day & welcome to the Guide . I'm not familiar with the 338 FED ,but if it's just a .308 blown out to 338 like the Old 358 Win there should'nt be a problem with reforming the cases . I used to fire form .358 Win from standard .308 .
