Well, now, Dave, I think you may be stretching things just a little bit, there.

Sure, I like to get one out now and then to "clean" it, even if it hasn't been fired since the last time I "cleaned" it. But making cleaning, I mean REAL CLEANiNG, a pleasure? That's just a little bit much, don't you think?
    Regards,

C1PNR .Belive me I really find cleaning my rifles a pleasure these days! Yep! I shoot proffestionaly& so at the end of the night they get a feild clean ! But when I get home I have invested in a fully automated cleaning system
It's called a son with a car who relys on me for his fuel Yep its made cleaning firearms a real pleasure ! No clean to my standards = no fuel I can sit & critisize him for hours !

Well, now I completely understand your comment and agree you are right!

Kids are all grown and gone, BUT I do have a Granddaughter who asks if we can clean a gun just about every time she comes over, so we do! Her Million Mom March Mother isn't too happy about it, but what the heck Sydney and I have fun!

I know that feeling ! I'm lucky though .When my wife & I got together about 4yrs ago she & her kids had never been out of the city & of course Tracey (my wife was dead scared of firearms & had a real problem about the fact that I shot for a living ! Now that she has lived around firearms & on the odd ocassion that she has had to despatch the odd snake or Fox around our place (we live on a farm ) She is the fist to get up on her soap box reguards firearms 7 their safe useage as a Tool & a Sporting peice of equipment !
So I say more power to you for teaching the next generation of shooter
