Default The weather finally decided to warm up

Here in the land of lakes and polar bears, the great white stuff is just about gone and the temps are near 60s most days.

I've been casting my buttski off, only burnt myself once this year. Got a nice little brand on my left hand forefinger. Doesn't matter, that had is half shot anyway, ulner nerve has deadend the lower two finger and knuckles there.

So far, I must have cast a little over one thousand in .44s and .45s of different weights.

Those single cavity moulds are good bullets but extremely slow in production. whilst my six cavity gang mould can really crank them out. Even a two cavity does pretty good production.

We have actually SEEN THE SUN yesterday and today. I was in light shock yesterday and didn't get to the range. I think I'll have a chance this afternoon before the rain starts again tonight. We just put the last of the trout into the stock pond at our club and discovered that a whole family of otters has moved in to take advantage of the bounty. It's getting almost impossible to find someone who will trap them out for us, even with full approval of the powers that be. They might give grudging permission for us to spotlight and shoot them. I'm going to have to get better about attending the meetings so I don't get elected to the job.

It's been hot here, highs around 100*, only got to 92 today, a cool front that came through dry for us. Some around got a shower, but we're dryer than month old toast. Been too hot to go shooting, so I've spent time polishing and sorting brass and goodies I picked up at an auction.

Wish we could ship you some of our rain. We sure have enough to spare.
