My lot of WC 820 is nearly identical to AAC #9 according to all my chronograph results in .454 Casull and .44 magnum. I don't own or load for an M1 carbine, but I've read that the slow burner (H-110 and WW 296) magnum pistol powders work well in that cartridge. Seems to me WC 820 will work fine, although it's considerably faster burning than H-110.

AA-No.9 is listed under rifle loads, so it should be possible, but I cannot recommend a starting load of it. Someone on the CBboard may be more helpful.
I usually use 2400 in rifle loads and UNQ in handgun loads.

    Default Which WC820 Fast

The true FAST lot is comparable to HS7, NOT AA#9.

Three (at least) distinctly DIFFERENT lots of WC-820 out there same for WC852.

    Isn't WC820 pulled from a 30 carbine?

    Thumbs up "Fast"lot WC 820

    The dangers of words!!!!
Fast lot WC 820was rejected for 30 Carbine use because it was TOO fast.

I hve some and have used it only in a limited test (NO chrono data) in 357 Mag in the Contender. Gave me accurate plinking loads and that was all that I was after!
