    mosko,
I will not have to worry about finding ammo for it. we own a small ammo and costom bullet casting bisiness, and I load my own ammo.
Very good! When I bought my 1st K31, back in the 80's (I'd have to check my book to be exact) I think I paid nearly 600 bux delievred. The deals are much better not aren't they?

Back then, surplus ammo wasn't available, and .284 brass was about as scarse. Some of my K31's, the 1st one mentioned above included, didn't eject the brass perfectly due to the .284 head being slightly smaller than the 7.5x55.

Back then I bought 500 pieces of Norma 7.5x55 brass and have been re-rolling the same lot of brass since then.

I take care of the brass with anealing and proper loading with a slightly reduced load, and have found a most accurate round using the 147-150 gn surplus M80 USGI boat tail FMJ projectile. with IMR 4895 powder.

I also load a replacement round for the GP-90 for the M1889 Schmidt Rubins with the slightly shorter brass using the M2 (old .30 springfield) FMJ projectile.

Generally the Swiss rifles are like their watches, fine mechanical instruments.
