    Default 185 gr Rem 8mm bullet

    This has confused me for some time - perhaps someone can enlighten me. The Remington 185 gr SP sold in bulk my many retailers is, by far, one of the best values out there for jacketed 8mm bullets. Despite this, almost none of my reloading manuals list loads for this bullet or weight. Anyone know why?

    My guess and it is purely specualtion, is out of concern for any possible liabilty. Most likley not wanting to devote time and resources needed to develop a load that is safe to use in the old Gew and Turkish 88's. Another possibilty is the bullet was develped for use in the 8MM Mag. What kind of rifle are you going to shoot it in?? Let me know and I'll look in some of my older manuals and see what I can find.
