    Default 8X57 185gr loads

    I am looking for some loads for my 8X57 (M48) using the Remington 185gr bullet. Idealy I would like to find a nice load that uses surplus powder.

    Default 185 Rem load

    I've been using 46gr W748 behind the Remington 185 and it shoots great in my 98 which has an excellent bore. 1 - 1 1/2 inch groups at 100yds if I do my part. Doesn't beat you up and has good cold barrel accuracy. Will probably hunt with this one this coming season.

    Jim B: if your not looking for powerhouse stuff these have worked well for me over the last decade or so.
