    Talking Cost of 22LR Shells

Here in Western Canada yesterday went to Red Deer picked up a case of 5000 Rounds of Federal American Eagle 22LR shells dropped $125.00 CDN about $105.00 USD. Don't know if this is bad or good but at the time I thought that it wasn't that bad. What do you pay in your neck of the woods for the same?
    Thanks Ken.

Over here in Aus I pay about 105 aus (that's with out GST ) Normally I think it's around the 199aus mark for 5000 rnds of Fedral ! I normally just get the cheapest avalible these days which is around the 200aus mark less GST in my case

I get my federal bulk for $9.96 at wal-mart a brick. At the new sports man warehouse I think that it will be cheaper.

Normaly if I buy a Brick it costs me about $23 ! What is shocking is that Winchester manufacture .22 ammo here in Australia & yet it's cheaper to buy stuff made in the Philippenes & imported into the country & for use by the kids PMX /Highlander is perfectly ample

Bi-Mart here sells Federal bulk pack for less than $8.00 on sale. I stock up when they do

I don't own a 22 rifle right now, gave My Remington 510 to my Daughter the other day. Have my eye on a Ruger 10\22 rifle (not carbine) in Stainless \Laminate. Just waiting for the bonus check to get here

I have heard a lot of good stuff about the Ruger 10/22, and it is easy to get parts for. Right now I have a marlin 700. It is the same as the marlin 60, but is cut down to a carbine, and is clip fed. lots of fun to shoot. I shoot left hand, and that little 22 is good practice to learn to shoot right hand. It has a scope on it so it is hard to use my left eye shooting right hand.

My son Dale is right handed, but left eye dominate, so I taught him to shoot left handed with a rifle and shotgun. He shoots a pistol right handed, but with it over in front of his left eye, looks funny, but the guy can shoot. I bought Him a 10/22 carbine for his 6th Christmas (his sister got a Rossi pump for her 5th, darn thing only extracts about 1/4 of the time) He is 13 now, and out shoots me with my Redhawk, but dad can bust more clay birds.
