    Default Found a No1 endfield marked santa fe

    Found a really nice 45-70 built on a endfield marked the same as my mas 36 but they wanted $450 The blueing was perfect really nice walnut stock

    They had a chinese T33 chambered for 9mm for $175 really hated to leave it there just could'nt get Connie to let me have it.

    I belive that Gibbs sometime ago was offering convertions on #4 actions to 45-70 but I've never seen one ! Anybody able to throw any light on this?

    Thanks for that Daniel ! I have my Old tried & proven Marlin1895 in 45-70 .I'm just glad to know that .It was Gibbs that did the converstions.As I mentioned in my post I'd heard that Gibbs had done these ,but I was'n't sure on this being the case .
