    Default 700X in the 45LC?

    Gentlemen:

I have recently come into a large quanity of 700X and I intend to use it in my centerfire pistols.

Are any of you fellows currently using 700X in the 45LC as in weak action SSA?

How about 45 ACP, or 38 Special?

    Thanks for your help.

    Good morning,
    Forrest

My Hornady book only list 700x in 45acp for the boolits. 5.8gr, for the 200gr boolits & 5.6gr for the 230gr boolits.

I haven't ever loaded for the lc, have been using unique & tight group in my 45 auto loads.

    FAsmus,
    Welcome to the board !!!!!!
My dad uses 800X in the 45 Colt, and loves it! Infact it is his fervent powder for the 45 colt!!! 700X will work OK but in my dads Ruger Bisley 800X is his fervent powder.

    Default 700x

    Bullshop:

Thanks but the 700X is all I have at the moment ~ 10 pounds of it for free.

Since I do not shoot scatter guns my only use will be pistols and I just wondered if the forum had someone expierienced in its use.

    We'll see I guess.

    Good afternoon,
    Forrest

I am the very first one to join. Got several warm welcomes.
That felt good.Has a mix of English and Italian.
Sure is different from the German I've learned, and forgetting.

I really liked 452AA, but of course Winchester did away with it as soon as they found out it was working for me!
I also like 700X in the 25-2. Bullseye works VERY well in the NM 1911 with light boolits.

    check out the quote.
    I Beleave that a 25-2 is a S&W 45 acp N frame.

    Hi, guys.

Big thumbs up on the 800X powder in .45 Colt. Its the bees knees with 8.0 grains that scoots it along 800 + fps...very accurate moderate load.

The 700X is pretty fast powder and more inclined to smaller brass cartridge cases like the .45 acp, that's only my opinion and not chisled in stone.

Titegroup is a good .45 Colt powder, with a 230 grain 1/8" HB bullet I used 5.8grains and got one to two inch groups.

    Jim
