Swaged an jacketed

When it comes to reloading ammo , What is the difference between Swaged Lead Bullets , And Jacketed Bullets . I will be reloading 45 ACP . I seen both these bullets on a web page .

swaged are soft lead formed into a bullet shape under high pressure.
jacketed is just that lead with a guilding metal [copper and zinc alloy] surrounding it.
and cast is melted lead poured into a mold then sized and lubed.
you also have plated which is either a cast or swaged lead bullet that is plated with copper in a very thin shell.
swaged are very soft and can only be pushed to low velocities 700 or so.
plated is next highest.
then cast and jacketed [in handguns] they are basucally equal.
hardcast [ha] commercial has it's drawbacks such as they have to fit everything but really fit hardly anything.
and jacketed just works because of the properties of the jacket.
