Myself for large cal pistol loads I have found...
Myself for large cal pistol loads I have found Hercules 2400 and IMR 42227 to be best.
Never loaded the 454 but there is plenty of data out there for this round.
These two powder in my experience...

I also loaded the same rounds with 2400 and you know who won that skirmish was the 2400. Better acuracey and balistrics.
