Gues that give us two choices. Think up a topic or give it a decent burial. Whay say you?

Try here. http://www.customsixguns.com/ You can find pressure tested loads on this site.
If my experience is any example though, that bullet will shoot quite high. I have a 300 gr. bullet for my .44...

It depends on hat weight bullet you plan on using. FRankly a 22" barel is just fine even with the slower powders suitable for the 30-06. I have several rifles in 30-06 and most have 22" barrels. One...
"and maybe a smaller one at 15yds for our carry guns. Then we can shoot both rifles and handguns without lugging 80lbs of steel back and forth."
What about the possibility of bullets from the...
I have a few molds for the .35, two old Lymans, two RCBS #35-200 FN, a lyman #3589 and a custom clone of 3589 with a slight flat added to the nose. That one was made by David Mos. Pricey, but does it...
How many here shoot and reload for the .35 Whelen? That's a cartridge I've had an interest in ever since I read Elmer Keith in "Hell, I Was There" and his misadventure with a Grizzly Bear. Then...
This thread is absolute proof of life after death. The OP started this in 2005. This was one of the very first sites I ever got into and lost when a computer turned toes up. Found it again a while...

Lots of very informed people there. Also, get a copy of...
What I did was make up a few dummy rounds, loaded them in the magazine and tried them to see how they chambered. Then, if the chambered OK I was good to go. If the slide didn't close all the way and...
It would have helped it you'd have said what powders you had on hand but no matter.
My pet load in 9MM is 5.0 gr. of Unique. I only shoot my own home cast bullets and that id what works for me....
I have one rifle that has a headspace problem. However with a bit of fireforming and then properly setting up the FL die, no more heaspace problem.
This is how I set up my sizing die for bottleneck...
All I shoot in my .44 Mag. are my own home cast bullets so I have no use for the FC die. In fact, all I shoot in any of my handguns are my home cast bullets and a good solid roll crimp.
Many years...
"With a heavy gun its like shooting a 22."

Oh, before I forget, probably if you load that brass that was tumbled with the primers is loaded and shot, preferably as plinkers, I'm guessing you'll just experience erratic ignition. The only worry...
"Oh, By the way, part of the inheritance (the dearly departed was not anyone I knew, he was a friend of a friend who knew I am a shooter/reloader) was the set of 30/30 dies (less the crimp) which I...
His post which was right above yours explained how it happened. Sometimes stuff happens and you just deal with it.

My thoughts aere an uneven crimp. Try measuring the length of the cartridg cases and trim all to an equal length. If lengths are not the same, crimps will not all have the same hold.

I'll second that thought. Just use data for jacketed bullets and have fun. Just start low and work up.

Don't worry, you will. I quit using CCI primers many years ago as one brick had a better than 10 percent misfire rate. I sometimes get one from the inchester primers I have on hand but I'm...
That Vanguard should be shooting a lot better than that. I helped a good friend of mine sight his in and groups were much tighter. How much time are you leaving between each shot? Looking at the 100...
Well here in southern Arizona it can still hit 80 during deer season some of which is open right now. I've huted northern AZ a few times and while it gets a bit chilly at night I've killed deer when...
Well, that was back in the mid 1970's and milsurp rifles were quite common. Who knew that nearly 40 years later they would climb in value? I enjoyed doing the conversion, learned a lot about what it...
