Does anyone out there have an old Ideal 310 Tong Tool with 32-20 dies? (Not the newer Lyman) Got a good friend looking for one. Any ideas where I might find one? Been to ebay, gunbroker. Thanks!

I guess in the interest of safety I need to "modify" my earlier note re using Berry's bullets. I called Berry's bullets to ask if they would consider making a heavier plated bullet than their 158...
I've found that 6.5 to 7.3 grains of Unique shoot pretty well. Check you reloading manual but I think you can speed that up even more.
Hey Mike- had another thought about the M92 load. Don't know if you have access to Berry's Bullets (Berry's Mfg.com) but I bought some 158 grain plated bullets for the 357 on a whim. I loaded them up...
Hey Mike! Yes, I've been using Trail Boss in my 45-70, 44 magnum, 45 Colt, and 357 leverguns for about 2 years. It really takes the bite out recoil and in very consistent in velocity. I called Hogdon...
Just some added info for MikeG70. I bought a Rossi M92 in 357 last year and have been shooting cast lead RNFP's with 6.5 grains of Unique in the 158 grainer and 7.3 grains under the 125 grain bullet....
Hey 405-You're right on the money about the burn rate of Trail Boss. The burn chart I saw put it right at WW 231. It's really fast burning and burns really clean in my 94. I eneded up calling the...
Sounds like you're getting good good advice re the Lee set-up. I've always been a single stage reloader so I don't know a lot about the turret and progressive presses. I CAN tell you about my...
Just wanted to add that I have also tried 8.0 grains of Trail Boss in my 45 Colt (Ruger Blackhawk- 4-5/8") and like the way it shoots. Again, the recoil is minimal and it burns really clean. I use a...
Hey! I just stumbled onto the thread and thought I'd ask if anyone has had any experience in reloading Independence brand brass. I bought a couple boxes of 357 loads in this brand and have been...
I've enjoyed reading the above. Where else can people from all over the world just sit and chat about their pet loads and learn from each other. Guess I'llhave to try some 5744 in my Sharps (replica)...
Well, there's more follow-up on that 45-70 load I started with in my Marlin. I decided to try a little experimenting with Trail Boss powder (after I bought a 5 lb. keg) to see how much powder in...
Don't know if anyone saw it but there was a short video clip out on the internet recently showing an actual firing demonstration by some unlucky individual who apparently insisted on lighting it off....
Well, here's some "follow-up" on using the 317 grain GC (RCBS Mold) over 16.5 grains of Trail Boss Powder and .010 card wads. I shoot the lever action cowboy silhouettes here in Kansas and have...
Just wondering if anyone has any loading data for W/W Action Pistol powder. I good friend of mine made a good deal on a pound and wants to try it in either .357 Mag or .44 Mag lever action...
Hey kg42! I haven't tried pvc material but did use some styrofoam in the past in a .357 load. I was a little concerned about "gumming up the works" with the styrofoam. The card wad idea came from...
The mention of a Savage Model 24 takes me back to my preteen years-and that's REALLY going back! Had one in 22 Long Rifle and .410- my first gun ever! Like some of you I got trading fever and sold...
Well, it sounds like everyone has a different perspective on cleaning primer pockets. I don't clean them every time either but when I do, I found that putting a brass bristled brush with half the...
Everybody still awake? Getting late here in Kansas but I got no place to go tomorrow anyway so I'll let the sun up before me. Hope everyone is staying well. I like reading all the "stuff" you guys...
Well, I picked up the XLR last week, loaded up some Trail Boss loads using the 310 grain RNFP- GC RCBS mould and 16.0 grains of TB and a W/W standard primer and Starline brass. Made sure the .010...
Just checking in and saw the thread on Trail Boss. I intend to pick up a Marlin XLR in 45-70 tomorrow and want to load the 300 grain GC bullet in front of about 16.0 grains of Trail Boss. Has...
