What kind of accuracy do you get with it compared to your regular .303 loads?
How tightly does the adapter fit? I ask because .303's have chambers notoriously variable in their interior dimensions. I could see the possibility of blowback around the non-expanding steel adapter if you tried it in a really loose one. If so, there would be fouling on the outside of the adapter, just like when you fire a really light "bunny fart" load in a brass case without enough pressure to obturate the case to the chamber walls. I have been toying with the idea of making a .30carb adapter for my .308 for a long time to pop the inevitable partridge flushed while deer hunting. And maybe a .25-20 for the .250Sav. I'd been thinking if I did it I would make the adapters outside dimensions custom to the measurements of a fired case if I needed to, but I've never known anyone who has tried one of the commercially made units to ask. What are your thoughts on the matter?
You mean like this..............Attachment 284
I mean like that. :) Please share your experiences with them. I'm more than a little curious.

Accuracy is not to bad at all..................Attachment 285Attachment 286
I got mine from www.mcace.com & Sportsmans Guide................
Good enough for me. It's way cheaper to just buy it (reamer rental + postage is about $45). I will order one tonight. Thanks for the report.
Got a check off to them in this morning's mail. $20 including shipping is a deal and a half.
But I'd still be curious to know if there's any blowback in the .303, especially if it's a SMLE. I know my .308 has a tight chamber, but out of curiosity I will also measure insert and fired case diameters and see if there's any soot on the insert after each of the first few rounds. I have both a 10" Contender and an M1 carbine. The handgun shoots 120 cast MOA at 100yds at around 15-1600. I bet I can get close to 2000 out of the 22" barrel of my .308 with the insert. It shoots that same bullet in the full sized .308 case at closer to 2500 still moa or better. I'll post when I get it and try it out.
The directions say that you have to glue that sucka into your chamber. Next.
I correct myself. Loctite not glue.
