Anyone have any load data for Missouri Bullet IDP #7? That would be a 140 Grain TCFP w/ a Brinnel of 18.
I will be using these in a Stoeger Cougar 8040F, 3.5" barrel.
I have Blue Dot, Unique, AA7 and HS6.

If anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know, maybe you have some good info for me.
I went with the lightest load for the 150 lead bullet in the Lyman 49th as a safe starting load.
I already loaded 20 of these using 8.3 grains of Blue Dot and an OAL of 1.125" which puts the base of the bullet just on top of the powder. I also put a light crimp using the Lee Factory Crimp Die. I wanted to add I'm using Wolf SP's.
Of course I'm gonna be watching very carefully when I go to test these.
I was thinking of trying 5 grains of Unique also as a start using the same OAL.

Unique is a good powder for the 40S&W, I use 6.0 gr with a 155 cast. I use more 231 than any other in that cartridge, 5.5 gr with the same bullet.

using the heavier weight data for a similar shaped bullet is fine.
Hey thanks for the input.
Scapper,
Did you find any good loads for the 140 bullets from Missouri. I just order the 2000 round bundle and did not realize that the bullets are 140 gr.So I am looking for some data for w231.
