Jr., that's as bad as favorite rifle!!!
I guess just for fun shooting, a revolver, either a S&W 15 4" or S&W 67 4". Easy to shoot using cast SWCs and light target load.
For having to pull out for self defense... a Glock. No gadgetry.... nothing extra to think about under stress... very reliable.
Any one of my Rugers... or my Colt....Or my Encore.....
My favorite is which ever one is in my hand with a warm barrel.

Bravo Bravo!!!
OOPS!!!... some of those Rugers are REVOLVERS!
No problem,
I think BS Jr. was talking in generic terms as in handgun.
yea, what 405 said.
Can't be too careful... some places love to flame folk.......
My 1911 in 45acp,or Savage stryker in 22-250, orRuger Old Army, or ruger Mk. I, or Heritage single action convertable in 22, or colt navy 36 cal. They are all favorites, I wouldn't want to be without any of them. Dale
I would have to pick my Contender. It's really not just one handgun (or one rifle, either :-D ), but it sure is the most fun gun I own and gets used more than all the others combined.
Bama,
We don't put up with flamers here. Life is too short to have to deal with as.....ah, that kind of people. There will always be those that don't see eye to eye, and ignoring or avoiding them is usually much more effective than confrontation. The ones who can never be wrong or who are intolerant of the differences between them and others soon make their deficiencies obvious to the rest of us and generally don't hang around long. There are some forums where such behavior is acceptable and some where the narrow minded get into positions of power and think themselves immune to the forum's rules. They usually aren't worth wasting the time to visit regularly. Here and at Gunloads, we try to cultivate an atmosphere of tolerance where we can all enjoy discussing our favorite subjects amicably, regardless of our different backgrounds and beliefs.
That's refreshing!
I reckon my favorite pistol is my Colt 1991A1 with my Gold Cup Trophy a very close second. I have tried to go a little simpler in my carry pistol so there in lies the change.
As for favorite revolver it would have to be one of my Rugers and it is hard to choose between them.
I have an old Iver johnson Target seeld 8 22 LR, revolver. For now it is my favorite.

Hi everyone. new to this forum.
My favorite is a s&w model 29-2 .44 mag. i cast my own bullets. 250gr. swc
Everyone of them but an old RG .22 - and the only thing it ever did right was when I gave it to a Mexican cab driver for hauling me back to our side of the border in Del Rio. I love Old Mexico, but it's not the place to be when you're hung over and broke. :(
Favorite revolver depends on range, pointblank to 50yd my New service 38spl.50yds to 100yds my New Service 38-40.For really serious social encounters My New Service 45colt 2".

Favorite pistol would be my .45 acp Kimber royal II I love that gun. Revolver would be my Ruger single-six in .32 H&r Mag. The most fun gun in the world to shoot maybe. LOL
I'm with Dale and I also like it with my 22 Conversion on it.
Ken.
Tough choice! My top two are both Rugers and I'd hate to be forced to choose just one.
There is the Ruger Super Single Six (6 1/2") .22LR/.22 Mag that I had coated recently after 26 years of service...

Then there is the one that is one my hip hours every day - the Ruger New Vaquero (4 5/8") .45 Colt.

TT-33 Tokarev, Lone-Star .30-06, Beretta 92-FS, the everything else.
Down here in the SOUTH it would have to be my old big ugly Colt New Service 44-40. Riding about on the desert [smilie=2:it sits just fine onder my belt / waist band . With a 205 grain near pure lead boolit and 8 grains Unique I have all the firepower I need and never am worried if I might drop it into the volcanic sand. [smilie=w:
my favorite revolver is my 1968 vintage s&w model 27 6"
my favorite auto is a .44 magnum automag.... but my favorite auto i own is my ruger mkII stainless target model............. the ruger was owned by a good old friend of mine that died last year and his brother sold it to me for the same price he had paid for it... it is unfired in the case with three mags..... the one that got away for me was a beautiful s&w model 624 3" round butt .44 spl i past up last fall at a pawn shop.............................................. ................................
LIFE IS SHORT.....
I love two and it is hard pressed for me to pick a difference between either of them.
Ruger GP-100 with 6"stainless full underlug barrel.
Norinco Model of the 1911A1 with a Parkerized slide and blued frame in 45ACP with the three dot sight system.
I suppose if I was really pressed and had to choose one of these over the other it would be the Ruger.
Good afternoon
This is tough... CC my Taurus Titanium 41 mag ! 5 shot 4" barrel.
Other.. my Mauser Broomhandle Flatside (1903) with Matching shoulder stock 95%.
Mike in Peru (4 days)
H-power, 9 mm.
Mine is an old model 28 in .357. Great pistol and shoots lights out!
45 acp : Para P-12, alloy frame
.38 special: Colt Diamand back. 4"(wish I still had it!)
My Day 30X conversion on a .45 frame. First time I shot it I shot a 298 match course. Tack driver.
But I mainly shoot my Combat Masterpiece - not very competitive anymore...
1976 Blackhawk 45 Colt..w/cast boolits and various loads.
Well alot has changed since I last posted on this thread! I still have the nagant and it goes almost every where with me that I don't take one of my other guns. I had a ruger mark 1 target, but did not shoot it much. Right now my favorite is probably my Ruger 45 colt, or my contender 256 WM, although I carry the nagant or my Iver Johnson target sealed 8 more.
Just one? Can't do it. Depends.
CCW it could be the Lady Smith, Colt Dick Special, or even the Charter Bulldog.
Just walking in the woods, 4" S&W 28 now in .44 Spl; or maybe the 4" 25-5 in .45 Colt, or even the Para P-14.
