Ancestor Glad to see an unfamiliar face on this board. Don't be a stranger.
Welcome to The Guide, Ancestor.
I just had a similar pair of shooting glasses made up. The right lens is in close so I can see the front sights and the left lens is distance so I can see the target clearly. Haven't given them a serious workout yet but my eye doc was a competitive pistol shooter so he knows and had me bring in the guns to check the sight radii before ordering them.
Please tell us about hunting and shooting in NZ. Hollywood tells us you have an overabundance of orcs, goblins, and drunken hobbits. Somehow I suspect Hollywood has painted us a woefully incomplete picture of the actual situation. So tell us some stories......
Rain, rain go away. So much rain that I can not get to my favorite, 2nd favorite or 3rd choice shooting ranges. Mud, red mud, I should get the air rifle out. Squirrels, squirrels, oh so many squirrels. Have a great day.
Texas mud is from HELL!
So the drought is over in Texas?
Less than 15% in drought and they are getting more rain recently. We are out of drought as of this time. More rain this weekend and next week. It is green here, no more brown.
Maybe it will wash the illegals away...
Finally got a chance to shoot yesterday. All of my rifles except the old Mauser I am currently testing are in temporary storage until the house sells, so I stopped the cast test and dug out the jacketed loads I worked up for it 30 years ago when I first built the rifle. Nice tight 2" 100yd group from a 98 year old rifle. That will get me through deer season anyway. Then I will scrub it out with Sweets and get back to cast tests again. It's a good feeling to ring a 6" gong at that range offhand.
