help setting up Hornady lnl AP

I have a hornady lnl ap set up for .40sw and I need help. My setup:
Station 1 EGW
Station 2 CAPD/Powder thru expander
Station 3 Hornady Powder cop
Station 4 Hornady bullet seater
Station 5 Hornady crimper

Problems
1. The egw die was too short. I took the lock nut off and it worked, but is there a better way, is this usual or am I doing something wrong?
2. The CAPD/powder thru expander does not bell enough. It is screwed in all the way. At this depth the shell plate hit the expander before the other dies can properly cycle.
3 The bullet does not seat fully the bullet seating screw is screwed all the way down??

Can anyone provide me with some assistance
