would like to help but can't.
my only advice would be to talk to barnes themselves.
are you by chance going to africa?

barnes are some of the best going they do what they say they will.
and they open i have seen others [imitaters ,like the win] hold together but not open
like the barnes will.
also the only 2 bullets i find in the hard dirt berms are cast boolits and barnes type.
even if they aren't the most accurate they do what they say.
much like the nosler partition.

yes, you are right.load them for 223,6.5 243,270, &30.have had great results with them.i like the high b.c. in the 350gr barns compared to350 hornady.488 to.195 topped my ruger#1 with nikon BDC 2" high at100 yrs abl to hit downy bottles 100 to 400yrs .what i like is the fact that at 400yrds the hornady has 689 ft pounds to2089ft pounds of the barns thats big boar boooming.

the higher b.c. comes as a by product due to the fact that copper is lighter
than lead so it is longer for the same weight.
i really like the nikon monarch scope also they are really bright and clear.
i use one on my 257 roberts featherweight.
