Dan, I don't know if you remember me but I met you at the RLB in Maine. I will be retired next June and if you need a partner please give me consideration. Perhaps the French man from Wolfeboro could consider such a year in advance.

I assume the Souper is too light. Do you still have the baconator? What WILL you take?

I am not in good enough shape to hunt elk at high altitudes but good luck. It sounds like a great hunt. I ate some elk once about three years ago and it was fantastic. Enjoy.

......and hot snow bunnies. Really. In October they're still an untapped resource.

Speaking of which, snow on The Mountain last night they say. This year's deer season fast approaches.

Dan do you have a 264? How does it shoot? Is it light and how does it kill deer? Lotsa questions.

Dan,

Ok. Chat when I get back sunday or monday. Going to the cabin to post, hunt turkey, etc in an hour or so.

J1,

I have a 264 win mag. Shoots nice and it overkills deer.
