Having secured a modern Marlin 336 CB in 38-55 Win. I'm wondering about loading it closer to 375 Win. performance. I'm aware that Buffalo Bore is doing so and offering a high velocity round for either calibre for use in modern guns. Any advice or experience doing this?

I can't speak directly to the 38-55/375 pair but do have one piece of advice.

If you should ever have two guns that fire the same rounds at different pressure levels, buy both nickel plated and yellow brass - and only load your warm loads in one or the other type.

This gives you a quick visual of what is safe in all guns and what can only be used in the stronger ones. I do this for 45-70s - my ruger #1 load would ruin my contender and I'd rather not do that.
