I have just been given these along with some lead for casting my .457 balls. Anyone have any comments / info that would be of interest? I am sure that I have titled the first 2 correctly but the rest seem to me to be for adding the final card wad and rolling the end of the cartridges.

Duncan, the man you want to ask is Floodgate over on the CB board. He is the resident expert on antique loading tools and can likely tell you all about them. Me, I haven't the foggiest. :-D

Roll crimp
"Star?" crimp
Nut cracker :?!?
Wad seater

my isp is too slow so I probably missed some.

Manufrance is/was a big name with a famous catalogue full of goodies, established in the 19th century I think... Ask around, someone might still have an old one.

I wonder if they still offer the "Redoutable", "Terrible" and "Explorateur Mitraille" revolvers, with up to 36 rounds of 8mm Lebel (rev).... "guns specifically designed to ensure the safety of well advised African adventurers, thanks to their powerful military ammunition and high capacities"....

Your link has an interesting page for European ammunitions:

I got into this a bit deeper and took 5 brass12g cases to the range today to try.
Load:
5grams 3f BP.
30 grams No:7 shot
Winchester Large Pistol primer.
Need a pattern plate now and I can get serious about clays.
This is my mate Alain and his Baïkal Coach Gun we used to try them in.
