Here north of the 49th, we hurt a lot when we want a simple, non fancy, replacement 1911 barrel; Colts and Norinco's are $100 and it's going up from there...
So I thought some of you southerners might be interested by the prices there: http://www.advancedtactical.com/1911.htm , $37.
They are supposed to be Rock Island/ARMSCOR parts, the best of the phillipino's makers.
If I remember ARMSCOR's are chrome plated barrels, just make sure they are not Roto "forged" barrels, which are notorious for being made out of butter steel.
