Has anybody seen/tried one?

At 550 CAD$, we've got to rush before they got swamped with the orders and start goofing up on the assembly line :).

I understand they are not available in the US so you might not here from many fellows here. Right now they are great buys in Canada and certainly an alternative to the Norincos we get for $325CAD. If they are as well made as there CZ clones, I have the "L" model, they should be great guns.

Yep :)! In most of the threads I found on other boards, the guys answer the question by saying how much they like their CZ clone and the situation only gets more confused thereafter ; Tanfoglio had to call that gun "Witness" too... not as dumb as Ruger having both a strong and a weak Vaquero but still...

At least I learned that Tanfoglio and Armscor have strong links and share parts. The price is encouraging as it includes "smoothing" by the shop, but I don't think it will go much lower...

I understand the Tan 1911's are assembled in Italy. Parts come from five different countries. Have no idea which ones. They are NOT made in the Philippines as some up here have suggested.

I sure like my long slide .38 Super Witness! Only thing I did wrong was NOT buy the upper in .45 ACP when it was available.

That .38 Super carries 19 rounds in the magazine!! I only put in 17 to 18, but you load up 3 magazines and you've got a whole Box of ammo available with only 2 magazine changes.

I guess I'll have to look into the possibility of buying that upper, now that they're making the pistol available again, even if not in the US.:coffee:
