Did anyone ever buy or shoot the soviet Nagant revolver? This one was made in 1939, the year I was born. I would sort of like to get one made in 1939. Silly I know but what the heck isn't? Any comments about the revolver either pro or con would be most welcome.

John, I've shot one that a buddy with a C&R bought during a "all things <$200 phase" he went through.
They are pretty rough machined as expected for a "OMG we need weapons NOW" production, but functioned fine.

As far as getting one the year you were born, why not? It's cheaper than that 60's Corvette I've always wanted!

I think I can scare up a handful of cases. They look like miniature shotshells loaded with slugs, the bullet completely inside the case. I'm not sure how the gas seal on them works, all I have are fired cases to look at.

So nobody shot one and can comment on shooting one? I nevershot a 9 mm but really want to. Tried the trigger on a few new Sigs. Nice triggers.

I only recently became interested in the Nagant revolvers. It seems that a year or two ago they were selling for about one hundred dollars. Now it
seems that they are hard to find in good condition. Nice little revolvers which seem. Rather highpriced at the moment.
