I got a bucket of wheel weights which I melted and poured into ingots. This was about ten years ago. How hard are they and can I pour 38 bullets from them? Thanks for your answers.

You most certainly CAN cast bullets for .38 Special with it. The ingots themselves may show a different hardness now because that can change somewhat over time, but when you melt the metal and cast new bullets you "reset" the hardness. Freshly cast wheel weight bullets should have a BHN of about 9.

Lead Viagra now that is funny, I think. Looking at those Star Trek Chics
I do not need Viagra. Can I melt in my cast iron stew pot and just buy moulds and a little ladle and lube with the spray on lube? I would like to get into casting slowly and cheaply.

John, you can cast with a ladle but I have no idea what bullet lube you can just spray on. You CAN just tumble lube with Lee Liquid Alox. I did that for a while but it is danged messy because of the lube all over the noses of the bullets. I sprang for a used Lee bottom pour pot and a used Lyman 450 Lubesizer years ago and it was money very well spent. It sure makes the chore easier.

You guys are even dirtier than I thought, and I visit Doc's Star Trek Chicks often. Leave my need for Viagra alone. I want to get into casting cheaply and buy stuff a little at a time as needed. Shame that I have no casting guru living nearby. All I have are the ww ingots I made years ago.
