I went down this mornng to my gun Guy (who has taken a oath to keep me poor & trust me his good to his oath) To have a look at some Ruger .22 semi autos .His only got the Mk3's in at the moment & they left me cold ! But not to let me out without a sale!!!!! He whispered in my shell like ear that he'd just gota decised estate of Lee Enfields in :twisted: ! Now I only have one weakness in this life & that's Enfields ! Now the problem is (a) Which one do I want? (there are 10 of them ) & (B) which one of the kids do I sell to a passing White slave Trader to get the lot ?

Yep i know just what you mean!!! Ol'boy sent the check for my jap thursday, and i can,t figure out what to get next an AK AR both cost to much and really are not good for anything

Sog has got an AR for $499.95 but giving Andy some and the tax man some and the truck driver guy some it puts it over $600

Been thinking about one of them mossberg 100 AT in the 270 it's only $250 at walmart. I've still got dies and bullets.

Then there's the 22-250, checked on a savage 111 with the good trigger, it's around $450 with a scope

And all those cheap surplus rifles out there!!!!!!!!

D-o-k, there's quite a few solutions here:

A: Have you heard about terminating middlemen? ..or was that eliminating.....?
B: Didn't you say that the local range was on your land?
-Put a toll booth;
-Build a snack stand and sell something original and expensive like Vegi-Burgers or alcohol free beverages (the guys have to drive back home...)
-Confiscate guns when the guys go to the targets...
-Empty their gas tanks and sell them the gas back...
-Raise money for the installment of all the above measures...
C: Are you allowed to breed dingos and other roos? You would seriously cut on fees by harvesting them from the barn....

Hope that helped... :mrgreen:

I knew some body would give me the ideas that I needed !:mrgreen: I might have to use all of the above (mind you the kids tried the toll gate idea once as we have several gates the members have to open & close if i have stock in those paddocks ! The kids came up with the bright idea of a gate, openning & closeing service for 50c a shot ! Worked great on the first gate but the blokes were a wake up to them on the second )

Umm My problem extends beyond yours, I don't have an Enfield right now - sold a NIB SMLE 25 years ago for $100. and Iaven't stop kicking myself in my butt since. Looking for a cheap NIB Mke 1 #4 as we speak. Well it won't be cheap but still gotta have one. Any thoughts on the Jungle Carbine, accuracy etc.?

Stay Safe

I'n my opinion the Jungle carbine was a over rated weapon ! Ihave owned several over the years &they are a honest weapon ! THe first thing I always do is to change the Butt plate though & get rid of that stupid "recoil pad " The damned thing was designed by the Marquies DE Sade on a really bad day !!!!!:cry: Its a piece of solid rubber adout 1x3 & really digs into your shoulder with heavy loads ! But they are a joy to carry & not to bad in the accuracy deptment ! It's just I've never got really excited over them !
