Great piece of news ! For years I've used what is called a vice type FL resizind die to form my .303 wildcats ! It's a slow proccess to say the least but it was pointed out to me the other day that the Australian company Simplex offer forming dies for most of the more common wild cats & so today I've put in a order for a set of 25-303 dies which have the added bonus of having a 270-303 FL die included to use in the forming proccess ! A bargin to say the least & a great saving in time & effort

The 25 sounds like a neat round, i havent shot one yet. I've really been thinking about rebarreling my 98-22. I can'nt pick between 257roberts or 25-06. Midway has had them adams and bennet barrels for $69

AAAAArrghhhhhh!

Do they really sell 7/8" pistol carbide dies set for $100 and over?
That's 75 U$D!

Toney,
I have some experience with the .257Roberts, and all of it has been positive. Also the .250Sav, but would go with the Roberts as it's easier to find brass and a bit more versatile. It's an excellent medium game cartridge out to 200yds and beyond that can also do varmint work out to 300yds or so. As to the .25-06, like all the -06 family of cartridges, there are cartridge length and feeding issues with the military Mauser actions that are easily avoided using the shorter .308 class. The Roberts is more cast boolit friendly than the -06, too.

Yep that's them ! Welcome to the world of Australian rip off the shooter ! Fortuneatly I go straight to the manufacurer!

Toney the .25-303 is verry close to the Roberts ballisticly! I would'nt even think of the 25-06 if offered a 257 Roberts as it's a damned fine round

I have one rifle chambered in a 6.5 x 53r (Dutch), I suppose you could call it 6.5x303. It's a very fine old round for sporting uses, considering the projectiles that are available.

I think the Lee dies from Midway were 18,95 USD or something like that.
