Bullseye & JSWC?

I just stepped up from Berry's to the Hornady 200 C/T jacketed SWC.

(They call it "Combat/Target") :roll:

I was surprised to see that there was no listing in the Hornady manual for this bullet and Bullseye. They use it for the 185, but not for the 200.

Surely folks load bulleye and the 200 SWC...

I see lots of listings for LEAD semi wadcutters, but not for jacketed.

What say you, experts?

BEYE is at its best in light target loads, which is what it was designed for. If you want to shoot heavier jacketed bullets, try a powder like UNIQUE.

Yeah. I'm confused too. Details. We need details. You're right on Bullseye being the original powder for the .45 ACP. For some reason 5.0 gr. seems to stick in my mind.
The Lyman #47 manual shows 5.3 gr. as max with the 230 gr. bullet at a pressure of 17,000 C.U.P. for 878 FPS.

Data for a 200 gr. jacketed bullet for Bullseye is: start: 3.4 gr. for 604 FPS at 7,100 C.U.P. and the max load is 5.7 gr. for 942 FPS at 17,800 C.U.P.

I double checked that data with the latest Lyman manual (#49) and they show no change.
