I have a bunch of CCI Small pistoal primer and Remington 5 1/2 primres. Both caused light primer stricks in a P3AT, since sold the gun. for other reasons.

My question is will they CCI and Renington 5 1/5 function proplerly in a SIG P238 380ACP?

Seems remington suggest s1 1/2 for small ammo. What ever that means.

They should both work fine, as long as they are seated correctly, .001" or so below flush.

I had the same ignition problems with CCI small pistol primers. I've used them since the early 70's with no problems, now all of a sudden the metal in these things is very hard, and I get misfires with barely a dimple in the primer. I switched to Winchester Standard Small Pistol primers and Federal 100 Small Pistol Primers. Problem solved. Oddly, the CCI Large Pistol primers work just fine, it's just the small ones that have given me problems as of late.
