Ordered a Hungarian M44 will be here tue. Hope i get a good one. I'm thinking there's no way they can in rougher shape than them rifles at best pawn in stillwater.

I was right!!! the barrel is good except for the last inch or so, looks like the bottom 1/4 of the muzzle was in the water the bayo is rusty and the cap on the end of the forearm is rusty on the bottom . the rust on the bottom of the barrel only goes about an inch up the barrel about half way to the bayo mount, the mount looks fine.
The stock looks like a yugo red elm. the crack i guess is the chip off the forearm tip not deeper the the cleaning rod grove and does not extend to the band
Have got another bayo and forearm cap. with a counterbore think it will shoot great. It shot 6"into the box today at 100yrds
Going to start cleaning want to see what's under the wood. So far it looks good!!!

We have about five of them rifles for sale in the shop. I have not shot one but it is cheap and is a interresting gun.
