Unrelated....

First - some time back - 14-18 months, maybe a tetch longer, Alliant Powder had some load data posted for the 7.62 x 25 Tok. round, and I believe that the data included Power Pistol. Anyway, I'm trying to find a copy of that old data, or for that matter, ANY data that uses Power Pistol, Unique, H110, Blue Dot - anything EXCEPT AA powders, since I aint got any. Can anyone help ?

Second - I get these wild-assed ideas, sometimes they actually make sense to me. That's when I worry.. I have one of the Super Comanche single-shot handguns that fires 45 Colt and .410 shotshells. Obviously, this isn't a silhouette-grade gun, but it is a fun little shooter. I know that accuracy is seriously degraded when shooting the 45 Colt round, due to the almost 2 inch jump that the bullet has to make before encountering the rifling. So, I wondered if anyone out there had tried using 460 S&W brass or 444 Marlin brass, with a light load and some kind of wadding to keep the powder tight to the web of the casing to overcome the "jump" to the rifling ? With the huge capacity of these cases, it might even be necessary to use magnum primers to ensure full ignition.

Thanks in advance to any responders.
Mike

I've got Alliant's pdf Reloaders Guides since 1998 and they don't seem to mention the Tokarev round.

This would probably answer you better:

About the other question, you are referring to the "450 mongo":

Google it for more.
Your gun is also known under the name of Rexio, if you need more info.

And if you use a filler, add its weight to the bullet's....

KG -

Thanks for the info on the Mongo. I think for practicality's sake, I may just try it with 444 brass.

As far as the Tokie loads, the ones I ran across were on their (Alliant's) website ONLY. If one accessed those postings back then, the listing for handgun loads was quite large, and had a VERY impressive array of data. Now, there are but 15 -18 various cartridges listed - a SMALL sampling of what was once there. Also, I heard that some of the loads had definitely been reduced from their prior offerings.

This litigous society is REALLY PI--IN' me off !

OK - off of the soap box, Mike....
