Blackhorn 209 is Accurate Arms latest entry into the black powder substitute arena. They have published an array of cartridge loads at their website but the 358 Win is not included there. I am shooting the RCBS 35-200FN gascheck cast from water-quenched WW's with 30 grs Blackhorn 209 + powdered polyethylene filler (like Super Grex) over a CCI 250 primer. This load shoots about 1 1/2" groups at 100 yds from my old Ruger M-77R and that is about all it will do with any load. No wiping the barrel between shots or any discernable difference in accuracy after 20 shots. Only problem is cost: this stuff retails for more than $30 for a 10 oz can. Anybody else trying this powder?

No, and if they can't get the price down to something realistic, I will stick to Pyrodex. What do they think it is, a new prescription drug for cancer or aids? $48/pound is beyond outrageous.

Christ up here it will cost us about $60.00 plus if it is costing you guys $48.00

I will stick with the real deal if that is the case.
