I need some load suggestions for using .412 cast 215 gr bullets in my 405 Winny. It kicks this old man waaaaay too hard with factory loads, and I am trying to save dinero on the boolits, as well.

From Ken Waters' Pet Loads:
283gr NEI: 36grs RL7= 1671fps(24")/1783fps(30")
36grs H4198= 2025fps(30")
38/40/43 grs 3031= 1743/1820/1983fps(30")
40 grs 4895 = 1616fps(24")/1704fps(30")
All other bullets are heavier.
Cartridges Of The World has a few lighter loads for obsolete blackpowder 40's, with IMR 4198. By comparing cases volumes you could probably use some.
