    Default Another rifle

Bought a Swedish Mauser in 6.5x 55 model 1920. Got a good price and the scope mounts are worth 1/3 of what I paid. It had some rust and most of it came off easily. The bore looked dark but after cleaning it is almost bright. No pits noted in the bore. Versifier, it is coming up this summer. Stock has a comb for scope.

It appears to be a 1896 rifle but on the receiver it is recorded as 1920. Neighbor's nephew is Dana Jones and he has lent me his copy of "The Crown Jewel". Got to get back to work.

I do have a large ring 6.5 short chambered 16 inch barrel that I guess I will not be using. I will be placing it for sale, just don't know where at this time. Maybe the mother board as I have had good luck there before.

It is a short barrel in the white. It is for a model 98 which I was going to build(?) in 6.5. I am bringing it up with me.
