    Question dacron tuft

has or does any body tried using a tuft of dacron
    with jacketed bullets?

i know this is somewhat commomplace with cast or low powered loads
but how aabout with near full power loads 90%

would this help to settle down es and vel variations?

Probably wont help with DS or ES, that I know of. Making sure you have a good consistent crimp and accurate powder will help more.

What Cal are you shooting and what SD an ES are you getting?

I'd be switching powders before I'd even consider adding any foreign substance to the case. It's one thing to be adding filler to a low density low pressure cast load - you've got a little breathing room if the pressure spikes - I can think of no good reason to be trying it with a jacketed load, and many reasons to avoid it.

i was just loading some 348 win and looked in the case
hmmm about 60% load density, same as a cast load i had a problem with
    same powder and primers.
and all the motion of a lever action.
was just well ta know wondering

    Default More Dacron

Dacron works fine in strait wall cases with plain base cast bullets. Is it safe in bottle necked cases with cast bullets? How about with gas checks?

i havn't tried dacron, but i have used dryer lint in them with both pb and g/c.
    i use it as a filler/powder position.
i usually try it after running the regular load first and am not happy with it.
es too high? vertical stringing? that kind of stuff.
haven't tried it with cat sneeze loads though.
