Clayt and I got to shoot the 416 Ruger. Good looking rifle that is supposedly regulated to 50 yards with express sights. What a crock. 8 inches high and 6 inches to the right. Got the windage somewhat correct and next will try it at 100 yards. Good push back and a little muzzle rise; otherwise it shot well, at least for me. Clayt shot once and thought that it would be the last time. LOL I am happy and now own a 416.

I think I would be in full agreement with Clayt. I have had enough spine surgeries. But I bet it will be a lot of fun with some mild cast loads. Have you been able to locate a mould for it yet?

Not yet on the mould. There are some 416 cast for sale on the sister board. I hope that I am not too late.

Got a RCBS mould with 500 hard cast boolits and a partial box of gas checks on the way. Hope to see Tom in August.

Recoil was equal to 3.5 magnum 2 oz goose loads in a pump.

One and done, saw no point in going for a second shot, beside I was shooting up his $3.50/ shot ammo.

The mould came in. It had been used for 500 cast boolits. With it came a 417 sizer and a box of gas checks. The boolits did not come with it for the price which was around the price for the mould. Mould looks great, now to cast.
