    Default Chronographs

Looking to purchase a chronograph. Never owned one, never even used one, any suggestions or comments would be appreciated Thanks. Mike

Many years ago I purchased a Pact PC2. I like it and have used it quite a bit.
I see from the PACT website that it's been upgraded to the "MKIV XP Championship Timer and Chronograph".
I looks as though it's using the same skyscreen design with different electronics.
I've found the ones I have easy to set up and pretty durable.

I like a chrono that has the full featured calculations of average speed, standard deviation, extreme spread built into the machine.
There are cheaper ones out there that will give you the bullet speed but don't calculate much else

If money was no issue I always wanted a Oehler Model 35 .

Mine is a Pact also. I've had it for over five years, no complaints so far. It's a big help testing both cast and surp powder loads.

I also have a Pact and have used it for quite some time. It works well. I used to have an F1 Chrony that worked good just did not have any of the features of the Pact and gave more error readings but was around a hundred bucks?

Thanks for the replies . Sorry about the long delay in getting back ! Computer crashed had to borrow my sons laptop to catch up on posts . Chronograph will probably have to fall in line behind a new computer, I'll pick this back up soon as I can. Sure do miss reading posts ,rarely miss a day! Thanks again. Mike.
